Problem

War in Gaza has left university students with almost no electricity or internet. More than 90,000 students have lost access to normal online learning, according to the university’s entry in the ITU report.

AI solution

The university designed small, low-power servers that run AI tutors, course content and grading fully offline. Students connect from any smartphone over local Wi-Fi, and solar power keeps the hubs running.

Impact

The team plans to grow from 5,000 to 20,000 students if it finds partners. [NEED: current status in 2026, with care for the safety of everyone involved.]
