About this paper
AI for Humankind.
AI for Kindness.
Stories of people using AI to help other people and the planet.
01 · Why we exist
Imagine all the good AI could do for people and the planet.
AI is one of the most powerful tools of our time. We believe its greatest promise lies in what it can do for humankind: caring for people, protecting our environment, and helping build a kinder, better world.
The good news is that it is already happening. Around the world, nurses, farmers, teachers, researchers and small teams are quietly using AI to solve real problems for real people. We are honored to share their stories, so that their work is seen and more of us are inspired to use AI for good.
02 · Who is behind it
Uyen, founder and editor
My background is in social entrepreneurship, and I have always cared about work that makes life better for others. Over the past years I have also fallen deeply into the world of AI, and today I use it every day, in my business and in my own life.
The more I use it, the more I see how powerful it is, and how much good it could do if more of that power went to people and the planet. That is where AI for Kind began: as my own AI project. AI helps me find the stories I care about, research them further and organize them clearly, so I can share them with the world quickly.
It is my small contribution to a bigger movement: a place where you and I can read, and be inspired by, more stories of AI helping to build a better world.

03 · How we work
Our editorial standards
Real impact, real people
We choose stories where people or the planet clearly benefit. Business tools with no social good do not qualify.
Independent, not paid
No one pays to be featured. We choose every story on its merit and never take money for coverage.
Fact-checked
Every number and claim is checked against its original source before we publish. We say clearly when results are early or self-reported, and whether a project is a pilot or working at scale.
How we use AI
AI helps us search, organize research and draft. A human editor reviews, checks and approves every story before it is published.
04 · Sources and credits
Where our stories come from
We find stories through news, research, foundations, nonprofits and readers. An important starting point is the ITU AI for Good Innovate for Impact reports (2025 and 2026), which document hundreds of AI use cases from around the world.
We use these reports as leads and as a source of facts, always cited. Every story adds our own research: what happened next, newer results, and the people behind the work. AI for Kind is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the United Nations or ITU.
